Clumsy, not thought through

What a shame! A great magazine hobbled by a poor digital offering.
Example: after adding the latest edition to your library, you have to open and "access" every page before its actually on your device, to then allow you to read it offline (in airplane mode). But that only works straight away - the magazine doesnt stay "local" even after doing this if you quit the app, so you have to be connected to read your magazine! So I download the PDF each month and read through iBooks - guaranteed to work. As a digital magazine, its a terrible implementation - it might as well be web based access.
S&T should take a look at some other magazine apps out there to see how to do this done properly, since this seems to be something theyre fumbling through right now as a new technology.
